    The Rainforest Site

Originally launched in May 2000, The Rainforest Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific ecological need -- the preservation of the worlds rainforests. Individuals from around the world visit the site each day to click the "Save Our Rainforests" button and help rescue imperiled land. In just its first year of operation, The Rainforest Site generated funds to purchase and preserve over 5,650 acres of endangered land.

Land preservation, made possible by funds raised at The Rainforest Site, is paid for by site sponsors and carried out by The Nature Conservancy, The Rainforest Conservation Fund, The World Parks Endowment, and The Friends of Calakmul. These organizations work to preserve rainforest land in Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay and other locations worldwide. In a addition a portion of funding goes to preserve old-growth forest in the state of Washington, USA.

    SOS Children's Villages

SOS Children’s Villages was founded in 1949 in response to the needs of the many children left orphaned and abandoned after World War II. The original concept is still working today, over 55 years later, to provide children who have lost their parents or who are no longer able to live with them a loving home and a stable environment in which they can thrive.

    The Animal Rescue Site

The Animal Rescue Site was founded to help feed and care for some of the 27 million unwanted animals given to shelters in the US every year.

Since its launch in July of 2002, the site has established itself as a clear leader in online activism and a dynamic force in the effort to give all animals the happy, healthy lives they deserve. In The Animal Rescue Site's first year of operation, 22.9 million bowls of food were funded for animals in need.

With the simple, daily click of the purple "Fund Food for Animals" button, visitors fund bowls of food for formerly neglected or abused animals now living in shelters or sanctuaries. Visitors pay nothing. Site sponsors pay for all funding, which benefits three leading animal welfare charities: The Fund for Animals,
    Petfinder.com Foundation
and North Shore Animal League America.

The Animal Rescue Site relies on its passionate supporters. Visitors increase the number of clicks, and the number of animals helped, by spreading the word to family and friends.

In addition to clicking the button, visitors can help feed and care for animals by shopping in The Animal Rescue Site store. With each item they buy, shoppers automatically generate funds for at least 14 bowls of food for hungry animals, at no extra cost.

The store offers a wide array of unique and meaningful items, including The Animal Rescue Site apparel, special gifts, jewelry, home accents and handmade treasures from around the world.

    American Red Cross

Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguished itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.

An average of 91 cents of every dollar the Red Cross spends is invested in humanitarian services and programs. The Red Cross is not a government agency; it relies on donations of time, money, and blood to do its work.

    British Red Cross

The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.

We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.

    The Breast Cancer Site

The Breast Cancer Site was founded to help offer free mammograms to women in need -- women for whom early detection would not otherwise be possible. Since its launch in October 2000, the site has established itself as a clear leader in online activism and in the fight to prevent breast cancer deaths.

The issue of breast cancer is painfully close to many people's hearts. Each year, 182,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer and 43,300 die. Almost everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by a breast cancer diagnosis or that of a loved one. The Breast Cancer Site provides a feel-good way to help promote awareness and prevent breast cancer deaths every day -- through easy online activities.

With a simple, daily click of the pink button at The Breast Cancer Site, visitors help provide mammograms to those in need. Visitors pay nothing. Mammograms are paid for by the site's sponsors and distributed by the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
